Here’s a crazy bird story for you, and not one related to birds falling from the sky or predicting the end of the world. A Taiwanese man has taken his neighbours to court after they taught their pet mynah bird to swear at him. Claiming emotional distress which caused him to lose concentration at work and therefore suffer burn injuries – stay with us – Wang Han-Chin, an electrician in central Taiwan, alleged that the mynah bird nextdoor called him a “clueless big-mouthed idiot” whenever he left the house. The neighbours denied teaching the bird to swear and the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence.
